When wrestling season started, Brody let us know that he wanted to wrestle. My first thought was that he would snap like a twig, but he really wanted to do it, so we signed him up. It turned out that he didn't like it too much, but due to our "no quitting" policy he had to finish out the season. (Mean parents, I know!) I hadn't been to a tournament with him so I took him to his last one this past Saturday. (Also I went because it was in Cortez and I could do some grocery shopping at Wal-Mart!) Brody did pretty good...pretty good meaning he didn't get pinned. For a small kid he is pretty tough! He got a medal, which made him happy. As we left, he said, "Well, I never have to do that again!" and then "Now I can't wait for soccer!" However, he loves baseball and that is actually getting ready to start...it's sure to be a more fun experience for him, and us! I am proud of Brody for stickin' it out and for going out there and giving it his best shot. Pep talk from Coach Musselman (great name for a wrestling coach, huh?)
Brody is ready to rumble (notice, I didn't get him a goofy unitard...and yes, I know it's called a 'singlet' but it's funnier to call it a unitard!)
Whew! He made it through, in one piece no less, with a medal to show for his effort!
